Church Cleaning
Many thanks to Margaret Severs for all her work over the years on
the cleaning rota. Now that Margaret is unable to continue, we need
someone else to join the small group of people who keep the church
and vestibule vacuumed and dusted.
Your turn would only come round every 8 weeks. Please see Les
Bowater, Margaret Day or Liz Temple if you can help.
Annfield Plain Gleeman
Are to hold a concert in this church on Saturday 19th July at 7pm in
aid of the Kwagala Trust. Tickets £3. Pay at the door or see Dennis
Dawson.
2nd Consett Boys’ Brigade - Presentation Evening
Will be held on Monday 14th July at 7.00pm. The Inspecting Officer
is Rev Terry Hurst, Brigade Chaplain. Everyone welcome.

Thank you to everyone for your continued support for J.M.A. and your
donations towards our recent sponsored walk, which raised £237.
The total for this year is currently £732.15, very close to our

Junior Church Coffee Morning
Thanks to everyone who supported our recent coffee morning which
raised the grand total of £99.58. A special thanks to Megan Severs
who sold some lovely cards, which she had made, and donated the £17
which she raised.

The Grove Methodist Church 70th Anniversary 1938-2008.
Viewing Friday & Sunday 2pm-5pm, Saturday 10am–6pm
Pre-booked Saturday lunch 12.30pm £5 per head.

Revive!- Hope for the Future
Revive will meet at Delves Lane Methodist Church on Sunday 13th July
commencing at 7.30pm. All are welcome to come along to this time of
contemporary worship and fellowship.
Stanhope
We are going to Stanhope Methodist Church on Sunday 10th August 2008
for the 6.00pm Service. If anyone would like to go, please write
your name on the sheet on the notice board by Sunday 27th July.

Food Hygiene Course
We hope to run a food hygiene course. Anyone interested please write

Consett Christian Aid Committee
A date for your diary
This year the sponsored walk will be on Saturday 27th September
2008. We aim to meet by the Station Club opposite Consett Methodist
Church and will leave at 10.30am. It is a circular walk of about 8
miles and we will return to the church by 3pm. Please bring a picnic
lunch. If you would like to join us please see Jackie Weston for a
sponsor form. Thank you.
